Students crave knowledge.

Teach them how to manage stress and challenges, interact effectively, make great decisions and feel confident and empowered.

Common Challenges that Become Possible with Skills.

Homework, tests, and my schedule are all so overwhelming. I feel like it’s just a big treadmill. I’m afraid it’ll be worse in college.

Presenting in front of class makes me anxious! I get sweaty, worry I’ll forget the words, and I can’t look up at the audience. I’ve heard the audiences are bigger in college.

Fatigue, low energy. I’m not getting enough sleep, and I’m afraid my grades will slip. My sports are probably suffering also.

Parental pressure. My parents have a plan for me that I didn’t choose and don’t want. Is it possible to work out a compromise?

College admissions are daunting. What if I choose the wrong college, what if I can’t get in, how will I get all the work done?

Meeting new people. Why is it so hard for me to meet new people on campus or off? I get so nervous that I can’t engage with them.

Getting a job sounds great but where do I start? I want to work outside my parent’s business.

The HAERT Story

Learn the backstory on what our co-founder discovered while working with teens and adults in an award-winning mental health facility and why we created the HAERT Program.

What are Mental Wellness Success Outcomes?

People who are emotionally resilient, happy, and are regularly able to manage the challenges of life have developed a unique set of skills that are learnable by anyone.

A smaller subset of these individuals intentionally practice their skills or are able to transfer them to a wide variety of situations.

These skills don’t magically appear in adulthood. In fact, most adults struggle daily without them.

People who have learned and use these skills across the many areas of their lives foster their own Mental Wellness.

They know the daily habits for maintenance, how to make things happen, and what to do when inevitable challenges arise.

The outcomes of these skills are drama-free relationships, career flexibility, the desire to embrace challenges, and adventures that many people consider impossible.

These people get stronger with struggles.

How does HAERT compare to other SEL programs?

As an educator, you may be wondering how our curriculum stacks up against other Social Emotional Learning (SEL) programs. Watch this video to learn more.

Skills empower us.

Feeling powerless is the first step towards anxiety and depression.

Having skills empowers us to make change - the opposite of being powerless.

Having a lot of skills means we are empowered to make an impact in a wide variety of contexts. Changing a flat tire, scrambling eggs, and editing video are skills. Managing and learning from our emotions, having curious or difficult conversations, and consoling troubled friends are also valuable skills.

Turning skills into habits will maintain our well being just like most of us already do with brushing our teeth, showering, and eating healthy food.

HAERT skills lead to Mental Wellness.
