Communication: complex but not complicated

  • Register for Zoom link (map)

Students are increasingly challenged by social anxiety and have difficulty simply having conversations with other people.

If the topic is a difficult one or if there is conflict, the interaction is even more challenging and emotional.

How can you help students feel more confident advocating for themselves?

Help them talk with a parent or other adult about a conflict of ideas?

Teach them to start conversation with strangers who could be friends?

In this session, we’ll be introducing a well researched set of interpersonal effectiveness skills that can help students improve their communication and feel more confident interacting with others.

In our free webinar, Communication: complex but not complicated, you’ll learn:

  • 3 key skills for difficult conversations

  • A strategy for understanding how to persuade others (or say no)

  • How to take the conflict out of difficult conversations
